Today I’m sharing a super light-weight plugin that we’ve been using on all of our sites and it’s been working great! This plugin is very bare-bones, meaning it doesn’t have an options page, but really it doesn’t need one. So, what is it? It’s a neat plugin that searches for YouTube embeds within your post (for developers, within the_content) and wraps the YouTube player in share buttons for your post. This works on oEmbeds and straight up HTML iFrame embeds.
So, if a user hovers over the video, share buttons for Facebook and Twitter appear allowing them to click and share your post. It’s a pretty neat feature! Let me know if this is useful for you in the comments!
